Session Abstract:

Until a few years ago, there was no requirement for a single, cross-platform ALM solution.  No IT shop needed to coordinate its application development and deployment across the mainframe, Wintel and Unix platforms.

Today, many mainframe applications have web front ends, and project managers struggle with coordinating cross-platform development teams and deploying these hybrid applications to joint mainframe and open systems run-time environments. The need for a single, auditable point of control has generated a new breed of ALM tools.

This presentation touches on the pros and cons of the new all-in-one ALM solutions versus the more traditional ALM point products. The benefits of an all-in-one approach are illustrated with the ISPW solution.

Speaker Bio: Christina McGill is the founder of ISPW BenchMark Technologies Ltd. which began operations twenty years ago, in 1986. Christina is a Math and Computer Science major from the University of Saskatchewan, and has 35 years of IT experience in various development, project management and architecture roles. Her focus is on all-in-one ALM solutions.
